Tracey, our terrific tour guide, thought Brent and I were brothers. She is just about the greatest tour guide I have ever seen. I’m thinking about including her in my will.

Echo Point is the main highlight of the Blue Mountains trip to the town of Katoomba.

The Blue Mountains gets their name from the ever-present haze caused by rays of light striking dust particles and small droplets of moisture in the atmosphere. It is especially noticeable in the Blue Mountains because the are is heavily timbered with Eucalypt trees from which small droplets of oil evaporate. The haze is an interesting phenomenon called "Rayleigh’s Scattering", named after Lord Rayleigh, who first investigated it in the early 1900s
